CHINA-GERMANY CALL FOR PARTNERSHIP IN CYBER SECURITY

On the fourth China-Germany Media Dialogue in December, officials from China and Germany expressed their willingness to enhance cooperation further to tackle cyber security and other challenges posed by new media.

The two countries are facing similar challenges in the merging of traditional and new media, such as websites, micro-blogging and mobile terminals. The challenges include protecting people's privacy and intellectual property online, and the regulation lagged behind developments in new media.

Luckily, the China-Germany all-around strategic partnership can bring new opportunities to the media cooperation between the two countries.
