In occasion of Obama’s participation to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit (hereinafter, “APEC”) USA and China reached an historical deal on climate change issue.USA decided to reduce the carbon emission of the 26-28% by 2525 and China ensured to reach the 20% of non-carbon resources by 2030. It is an agreement of great impact mainly due to the role the two main economies play in the balance of climate change issues. In particular, for the first time China, in person of its president Xi Jinping, recognised the impact of pollution and carbon emission on the climate. The opening to the reduction of carbon emission has been addressed by Obama also to other developing countries. This agreement might influence the revision of the next G20 agenda, which so far excluded the issue of climate change. Even if transparency is the basis on any kind of democracy, the EU Member States opposed to the proposal of a more transparent taxation regime.
