The European Union and Senegal has recently signed a Joint Programming Document for the period 2014-2017, concerning the complementarity between the aid granted by the European Commission and the bilateral aids provided by the Member States. This can be considered the first step towards a joint and coordinated action between the various bilateral programmes between the European Union and Senegal. The document provides investments and aids for two billion euros. This can be considered a first but significant step towards a strong development for Senegal’s economy.
